Educational Qualifications :
- PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry, or other relevant domain with a heavy focus on EPR.
- Experience with performing pulsed EPR experiments
Skills :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Experience using chemicals, including organic solvents, strong acids .
Must be able to operate and maintain existing EPR and other common laboratory equipment .
Experience with or shows competence to navigate EPR instrumentation failures;
Responsibilities :
- Maintains clear and accurate documentation of the protocols, instrumentation logs, data collected and sample manifests.
- Maintains established laboratory inventories.
- Places orders of necessary reagents, chemicals and materials/consumables.
- Reports work accurately and completely to various stakeholders and can clearly discsuss results with researchers.
- Operates research in a well-documented manner following detailed protocols and documentation steps.
- May contribute to grant writing for new instrumentation and equipment.
- Supports the Core Director and Subject Director for cost analyses and quotes.
- Assists with administrative duties necessary for a fee-for-service facility operation such as collecting and/ or entering facility billing data.
- Utilizes established safety practices, and is responsible for providing a safe work environment for fellow employees and clients.
Salary :
$57,000.00 to $60,000.00
